REV. FR. JAIME COLLADO ALAMILLO, O.P.
The new parish priest of Santisimo Rosario Parish, UST, hails from Lambayog, Sultan Kudarat. Born on July 7, 1960 to Emiliano J. Alamillo, Sr. and Manuela A. Collado from Mangatarem, Pangasinan, and with twelve siblings, he obtained early education from Maryknoll, School, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte, Philippines. On May 25, 1978, Jaime C. Alamillo entered the Saint Albert the Great Seminary, Angelicum School, Quezon City. He commenced his novitiate on May 14, 1981 at Our Lady of the Rosary Convent, Manaoag, Pangasinan. A year later, he made his first Profession at the Santo Domingo Convent, Quezon City. His solemn profession took place in May 1986, his ordination as Deacon on February 13, 1988, and ordination to priesthood on August 15, 1989 by Most. Rev. Leoncio Lat, D.D. at the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City.
Barely two months thereafter, he was assigned to the Manaoag Convent. In less a year, he was designated Conventual Syndic. He served in that capacity till when he was named as Parish Priest in May 1993. After four years of service, Fr. Alamillo became the Parish Priest of Saint Bartholomew Parish, Calayan, concurrently serving as Assistant Director of the Saint Bartholomew Academy until April 2001.
Fr. Alamillo was Provincial Promoter of the Mission, Dominican Province of the Philippines, from November 30, 2000 until his assignment to Caleruega - Philippines, Batulao, Batangas as Treasurer on October 16, 2001.
His fourth assignment came June 10, 2003 when he joined the Dominican Fathers of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Priory, to served as Parish Priest of the Santisimo Rosario Parish, UST succeeding Rev. Fr. Eugene L. Cabillon, O.P., now Prior, Convent of Saint Albert the Great, Calamba.
He was installed on June 29, 2004 Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. Indeed, Symbolic of leadership by witnessing to the Faith and being a shepherd to his flock - parishioners, under the mantle of protection of the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary. Another task begun. Another achievement by the power of Love.
